Lent Not For Elders Alone, Odedina Tells Youths

The Chairman of the Youth Fellowship of the Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria, Lagos State Chapter; Bro. Muyiwa Odedina has urged all seraph youths in Lagos State and nationwide to partake in this forthcoming lenten period.

Odedina who made this known last Sunday during a preparation service for the period at C&S Church Jesus Saves, Mushin, also said that it is not exclusive to elders alone.

He stated that it is by God’s grace that we are all able to witness another lenten period, therefore all efforts should be made to get involved in the fasting period and pray for the strength to journey through it.

“It is only the elders that observe this fasting period, therefore I’m urging and advising all youths should observe this period, try and build this foundation as it gives us strength even when we get older, we will be able to look back and say thank God for this privilege,” he added.

The lenten period for this year will commence on Ash Wednesday; 6th March, 2019, while Palm Sunday is on 14th April, and Easter Celebration on 21th April, 2019.
