Prophet Alogbo Promoted Peaceful Coexistence — Sanwo-Olu

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has said the late Supreme Head of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria, His Most Eminence Prophet Emmanuel Abiodun Alogbo, contributed to promoting peaceful coexistence, unity and mutual respect in the state.

Sanwo-Olu stated this on Thursday at the commendation and wake-keep service held in honour of the late cleric at Seraphim Land, Maba, Ogun State.

The governor, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Abimbola Salu-Hundeyin, described Prophet Alogbo’s death as a profound loss to his family, the church, the Christian community, Lagos State and Nigeria, noting that his ministry touched countless lives.

He said the late cleric lived a life of sacrifice, service and commitment to God, adding that his leadership helped strengthen unity within the Cherubim and Seraphim Church.

“Prophet Alogbo lived a life distinguished by vision, sacrifice, steadfastness and service. From humble beginnings, he nurtured a spiritual movement and transformed it into a sanctuary of faith, fellowship and worship for countless believers.

“The church he built, the ministers and worshippers he guided, and the generations of faithful he inspired stand today as enduring testimonies to his profound commitment to God and to the service of humanity,” Sanwo-Olu said.

The governor noted that Baba Alogbo’s commitment to uniting members of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church strengthened fellowship, shared faith and a common purpose among worshippers.

He added that the church had contributed to the spiritual well-being of residents through its ministry, moral guidance, prayers and community services.

Sanwo-Olu said, “Papa Prophet Alogbo’s ministry also enriched the moral and spiritual fabric of our diverse society by promoting understanding, mutual respect and peaceful coexistence.”

He urged the church to sustain the late cleric’s legacy by continuing its tradition of compassion, service and spiritual leadership.

The governor also called on the church to continue praying for Lagos State and Nigeria, particularly as the country approached another electoral season.

“Papa’s departure is particularly missed at this time as Nigeria approaches another electoral season, a period in which the prayers, wisdom and moral guidance of our revered fathers in faith are greatly needed.

“We trust that the church he leaves behind will continue to intercede for Lagos State, Nigeria and the peaceful conduct of the forthcoming elections,” he said.

Sanwo-Olu further prayed for comfort for the deceased’s family and the church, urging them to draw strength from the values Alogbo upheld and the lives he influenced.

He prayed that God would grant the late cleric eternal rest and preserve Lagos State and Nigeria in peace, unity, prosperity and progress.
