History made as UI C&S fellowship leader emerges as AUCSF president

Seraph Daniel

The Joint Christian body in the University of Ìbàdàn campus (AUCSF) did her annual Exploits of faith/handover service on Sunday, March 3, 2019.

There was joy and excitement as well as great expectation well written over the faces of the congregation, first, because it was a gathering of believers and secondly, because the new AUCSF Executives were going to be announced that same day.

After the former AUCSF Executives were called out and prayed for, the AUCSF President who was going to handover stepped up to the pulpit for the announcement of the new AUCSF Executives for the next tenure. Different members of the congregation were excited as the names of members of their fellowship were announced as being part of the new set of executives.

At 7:55pm, the name of the Levite coordinator of C&S Church Unification Campus fellowship UI CHAPTER, Bro. Adeyemi Oludayo was announced as the new AUCSF Organising Coordinator. This brought great joy to the fellowship members. Names of other executives were announced and it got to the time when the name of the AUCSF President was to be announced.

Every member of the congregation paid rapt attention and at exactly 7:59pm, C&S Church Unification Campus fellowship UI Chapter President, Pastor Farinuola Emmanuel was announced as the new AUCSF PRESIDENT. The members of the congregation were really shocked and amazed at the announcement as it was unexpected and this was going to be the first time such will be happening in the history of the AUCSF.

No white garment Church campus fellowship president has ever been ordained as the AUCSF PRESIDENT. Though, past C&S Isokan UI presidents have been ordained as part of the executives but not in the capacity of a president. The members of C&S Isokan UI were not left out of the shock but they were also super excited at the announcement of their president as the new AUCSF president. To them, it was a rare and great opportunity.

The sermon was taken by Pastor Samuel Oyeyinka and the topic was “A man after God’s heart”. He pointed out the need to find out first, the heart of God as believers. Also, he made it clear to the believers that God does not see the different campus fellowships in UI, rather, He sees AUCSF which is the body of Christ in UI.

He said all fellowships are just like Cell classes (of Sunday school), hence the need for unity in the body of Christ. The service ended as Pastor Farinuola Emmanuel, the new AUCSF president mounted the pulpit to share the grace. He himself could not hide the shock which was clearly written on his face as to the new position he now occupies in AUCSF.

This post should serve as a challenge purposely to those of us who bear the light(especially) but have refused to attend C&S Unification on campus. In stead of us to carry the vision, the light, take up the challenge of reaching out to our fellow Seraphs, seeing that as an opportunity to affect them for good and thereby have a New Testament C&S fold that every C&S Assembly is meant to be. We rather chose to attend other Fellowships like: DLSF, RCF, GCF, TACSFON, CACSFON, BSF, just to mention a few.
Beloveth, the Bible states: let your light shine so much that your Father in heaven can be pleased with you. Even on that campus, you can shine. *Shine the light!!!* while you were there.Remember, the earnest expectation of the whole creation awaits the manifestation of the *Sons*(LightBearers) of God. You are the one your generation is waiting for.
*Go,Go,Go and shine the Light you bear*
