Having diligently observed the Lenten period which spanned 40 days, Seraphs on Sunday joined Christian faithful around the world to celebrate the Easter season which commemorates the period Jesus Christ miraculously resurrected from the dead.

It was a glamorous experience at the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church IV located at a very serene environment of Ijoka, Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria, as the Church which was filled to the brim had over 200 attendees who worshiped God in spirit and one body in Christ.
Spiced up by the Choir members’ spirit-filled songs, Prophetess Bisi Alawiye Aluko led multitudes to worship the father in Truth and in Spirit amongst others.
In a sheer coincidence, the service marked the sixth Sunday of the seven Prophetic Sundays which involve seven prophet for seven Sundays tagged Divine Visitation.
In his exhortation, M/S/A Oluwatomilade drew inference from Matthew 27 :62-66 while Prophet Lanre Blessing took the prophetic declaration session.
In the same vein, the celebration at Goshen Household was spiced with Hymnal and praises song by New Covenant praise team.
As the Vessel of God’s Glory Drama ministry of the church also complement’s the choir’s performance, a welfare jumbo pack which comprised semolina, Rice, meat and other condiments were shared each to all members to practice the love of Christ among brethren.
In a Sermon by the Shepherd in Charge, Pastor Abayomi Akande, he gave an insight into the theme: Enthronement of Christ. The sermon touched on individual lives and the need to practice being a true believer. This was as he stated that “repentance shouldn’t be an annual event but a constant and daily check of our stand in Christ.” He rounded off by saying “the utmost assignment of all Christian is that we are saved to save others” and as such allow evangelism and soul winning become our clarion call.
With an atmosphere filled with joy, Seraphs with well-ironed prayer gowns could be sighted exchanging pleasantries before the commencement of the service at CSMC Sokoto District as the chants of “e ku odun o” (meaning happy celebration) filled the auditorium being used for worship.
The Easter service commenced with the processional hymn (K&S 25: Oluwa awa de). The train of elders on the procession looks celestial and unique.
The congregation sang aloud with joy of resurrection the Thanksgiving hymn (K&S 317: Lo kede ayo na fun gbogbo aye). The thanksgiving hymn lasted for almost twenty-five minutes while the youths could be seen dancing with energetic acrobatics.
The heat-up the church experienced today is due to the waiting period (Lenten) which has deprived the youths from dancing, a youth identified as Aladura Tayo Sunday said.
The sermonist, Evang. Gbenga Ekundayo Moses preached on the topic “song of Hallelujah”. He equally unveiled the significance of the resurrection of Christ.
He further stated that had it been Christ did not resurrect, our lives as Christians would have been miserable. He quoted John 11:25 describing Christ as the resurrection and life; whosoever that believes in the son of God shall be quickened.
He concluded the sermon with the question “What will be your fate at the resurrection of the righteous?”.
Similarly, members of The Lord Is Good Cherubim and Seraphim Church Unification situated in Ogba area of Lagos assembled together to give glory to God Almighty for the Grace to be partakers of his inheritance.
The preacher in person of Supt/Gen/Apst/Hon/Dr. Dave Salako gave his renditions as he blessed the name of God for yet another celebration of Easter and admonished the church to continually walk in Love, Peace and righteousness.
He further gave a brief history of the resurrection from the Holy bible. Siting the narrative from Matt 28:1-18, Mark 16, John 20:1-18, luke 16:1-18.
Here, he cleared the controversy of whether it was a male that saw the risen Christ first or a female.
Supt/Gen/Apst/Hon/Dr Dave Salako said that in all the gospel from Matthew to John, the scripture says the first witness was a Male being who according to the scripture is an angelic being. Thereby emphasizing that the heavens bear witness first before the earth. He admonished the church to not take this great sacrifice for granted and should always walk in the way of the Lord so that at the end, all may rejoice together in the Kingdom Of God…. Following the Sermon was great cheer and felicitations as the church danced in thanksgiving.
Cherubim and Seraphim Jah Jehovah Jireh, Oke Ira Ogba Ikeja, Lagos, were not left out of the ecstasies of the season as the worshippers were full of Joy.
The service tagged “Prepare to meet your God” had hymn such as ‘Ija dopin’, just as the bible reading was taken from the book of Exodus12:1-14 and Matthew 28:1-15.
In his charge, Supt. Apst. Engr. A. O Davies harped on the criteria to meeting God. He outlined them as including: Come unto Jesus, Examinng Yourself, Repent your ways and Strive to be righteous. The service also witnessed midday prayer, thanksgiving and lots more.
