Reverend Mother Esther Ajayi of the Love Of Christ Generation Church, London, will deliver a keynote address at the forthcoming Seraph Media Summit of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification church of Nigeria slated to hold Saturday July 6 at the Chapel of Restoration, Seraphim Land, Km 40, Lagos – Ibadan Expressway, Maba, Ogun state.
This was made known by the Summit Committee chairman, Snr. Supt. Apostle Muyiwa Adeyemi, during a chat with newsmen in Lagos.
Adeyemi who doubles as the Chief Public Relations Officer of the Church also disclosed that the female cleric who is widely known for her philanthropic gestures will be joined by Who is Who in the fold, as well as in the media profession from across Nigeria and overseas.
Speaking on what the summit seeks to achieve, Elder Adeyemi stated that it was a development that came on the heels of the Resolution No 9 at this year’s Annual General Conference presided over by the Supreme Head, Prophet Solomon Adegboyega Alao JP and hosted by Faith Mission C&S Church, which charges on the need to reinvigorate the publicity aspect of the church.
He further pointed out that the objective of the summit which is in consonance with the resolution is to chart a way forward to repositioning and re-branding the church.
While listing out those expected to participate in the summit, Elder Adeyemi identified them to be all Secretaries and 2 persons from the Public Relations unit of all constituent churches.
Other participants are to include Media Practitioners (Journalists, Broadcasters, Bloggers, Advertisers, PR Practitioners). Religion Correspondents of major Media Houses in Nigeria (both Print&Electronics).
According to him, the summit which is the first of its kind is going to be a two-session event: The opening ceremony where all Baba Aladuras and dignitaries will grace and to be covered by journalists, while the second session which is the Technical session will be for only the accredited participants.
His words: “The summit is to bring all media practitioners together in a one-day affair where there would be lectures and syndicate group to bring out resolution and blueprint required by NEC to plan the re-branding of the church.
“The Summit will be attended by all the Secretaries of constituent churches and two members of the PR Unit of the church. The programme is just like ‘train the trainers’ in which what they are taught will be passed on to their local churches.”
“All Seraphs who are practicing journalists either in prints, electronics, or new media are also expected at the summit.
“The main purpose of this event is to unify their operations and to ensure they work together in sending right messages to the world about the church.
While shedding light on theme of the summit – Who do People say I am? – which was culled from Mark 8:27-30, the Chief PRO said it was a question Jesus asked his disciples, but was marvelled at their responses until Peter gave the right answer, as led by the Holy Spirit.
He related such instance to what is happening in the C&S fold, as some members of the Church do not know what the church truly represents let alone speak of its true essence in public.
Four papers will be delivered at the event.
