Ona Iwa Mimo Inaugurates New USA Branch

The Cherubim and Seraphim church, Ona Iwa Mimo, has added another feather in its cap.

This is as its US/Canada sub-conference is set to inaugurate a new branch today, Sunday 20, 2020.

Situated in Atlanta – Georgia, the new church known as “The Earth is the Lord International Ministry” is the second branch of the fold on the US soil.

The pioneer branch which is also the headquarters of the sub-conference, God’s Palace of Testimony, is located in New Jersey and presided over by Revivalist Ap. Pro Emmanuel Oshiyoye with Ap. Pro Eribiyi Adebayo as the assistant head.

In a chat with Acts of Seraphs, the Minister-in-Charge  of the new branch, Mother Cherub Pro. Deborah Olayinka Ojomo, was full of gratitude to God for what she described as an accomplished mission and fulfilment of destiny.

Mother Ojomo who is the wife of renowned cleric, General Apostle Taiwo Ojomo otherwise known as “Baba Lesekese” also expressed gratitude to the leadership of the church for accommodating her, as well as their support.

“I feel fulfilled. It is destiny and mission accomplished. It is also God’s favour showed on me, as such feat is not by power, not by strength but by His mercy. I never knew I would be a part of baba Adeola’s family, woli anobi Ona Iwa Mimo.  I found my part into this greatest family in Christ through my husband, General Evangelist Taiwo Ojomo; an icon in Ona Iwa Mimo. I also acknowledge the convener too, Revivalist Emmanuel Oshiyoye, for being a part of this great journey. Above all thank God for his love and mercy on me. Mimo ni o.”

On his part, the head of the sub-conference, Revivalist Emmanuel Oshiyoye, says the new branch is the second in close to two years of Ona Iwa Mimo’s existence in the United States of America.

According to him, the sub-conference started well over a year ago, “But in less than two years, we have another one. And we feel blessed about that,” he added.

Expected to minister the word of God at the inaugural programme with the theme – “Celebration of Christ” is the Minister-in-Charge of Prince of Peace Pentecostal Headquarters, Supt. Apo. Olufemi Bankole.

Meanwhile, the leadership of the church has described the development as an advancement of God’s kingdom assignment into the nook and cranny of the world. 

In his words, the General Secretary of Ona Iwa Mimo C&S Church Nigeria & Overseas, Special Apostle Elijah Tokunbo Aborode {COA}, says, “The establishment of our new branch in Atlanta Georgia shows the church is progressing, and as said by our Lord Jesus Christ to proclaim His Ministry to the nooks and cranny of the world.”

He, however, noted that Baba Aladura, His Eminence Joseph Aderibigbe Ibikunle JP, ought to be in attendance to preside over the programme, but for issues surrounding the coronavirus pandemic. “He would not be there physically but would pray for them online while the program is on to bless and sanctify the church,” he added.

Elder Aborode also reacted to Acts of Seraphs’ publication on the fold’s annual pilgrimage, saying it would hold.

While confirming that a committee and sub-committees have been constituted last weekend to work out modalities for the programme, he noted that the attendance of prospective pilgrims has not been ascertained yet, as consultation is still ongoing.

Elder Aborode who corroborated Elder Olabintan’s position that the church is studying the direction of the government says, the church would not take any action outside the purview of the government’s directives.

Asked if the church has established communication with the Oyo state government, he said the committee was already on course to effect that, just as they would give the church a feedback in coming days.
