The new edifice of the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim Holy Land, Ojokoro, will become a center of tourist attraction, once it is completed.
The Holy Land which is near completion will also become the International Headquarters of Eternal Sacred Order, while the general headquarters on Ibadan street, Ebute Meta, will retain its status.
Conducting Seraph media personnel round the gigantic building during the 87th annual remembrance service of the founder of the C&S church, St. Moses Orimolade Tunolase, which held Sunday night, Snr Supt. Apostle Muyiwa Adeyemi disclosed that the new building is patterned to have a seminary, an international tourist center, as well as the main church auditorium.
Aside its staircase, the building, which boasts of state-of-the-art facilities, has a lift which provides access to upper levels, including quite a number of offices for Baba Aladura, Vice Baba Aladuras and a board room meant for the leadership and officers.
Meanwhile, the international tourist center portion of the building has a gallery at the first and second floor where Seraphs and visitors alike can have a clear view of the beautiful mausoleum where Moses Orimolade was first laid to rest. The center will also serve the purpose of providing sufficient information about the late founder’s life and times.
After leaving Lagos Island, Moses Orimolade moved down to Ojokoro where he later passed away to join the heavenly saints on Oct 19, 1933.
His body was exhumed forty years after his death and reburied in his home town, Ikare, Akoko in Ondo state. But the tomb in Ojokoro, which has the statue of the late founder on it, attracts people from all over the world who come there to pray, as series of testimonies abound.
Speaking on the seminary, elder Adeyemi says it will serve the purpose of a Bible School, as well as where seraphs who are being accorded new titles come to learn more about the responsibilities that come with it.
It was also learned that the church has forged a partnership with a foreign Bible School in order to boost the capacity of prospective students here at the Holy Land.
The General Secretary of the church, Supt General Apostle Iyiomo Oyetakin (PhD) however, disclosed in the course of the service that the building would be commissioned by renowned global evangelist and founder of the Love of Christ Generation church, London, Rev. Mother Esther Abimbola Ajayi.
While acknowledging her financial commitment to the building, the church’s scribe said the female cleric had promised to come along with some foreign tourists on the day of the commissioning.
He also noted that the building which will be dedicated next year ought to have been completed by now but for the Covid-19 pandemic which slowed down the ongoing work at the venue.
This year’s Orimolade day held amid pomp, despite restrictions due to the Covid-19 guidelines.
