CSMC House of Possibilities dedicates new church auditorium

It was a joyful atmosphere on Sunday, August 29, 2021, as the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, House of Possibilities, Indianapolis, the United States, dedicated a new church auditorium.

The auspicious occasion was attended by Chicago District Chairman of CSMC, Senior Special Apostle (Dr) Connell Idowu Akande JP who led a handful of church elders to dedicate the newly built worship centre.

The 5,472 sq ft structure sits on three plots of land located at 4825 W Beecher St, Indianapolis, IN 46241. The 250 capacity church building also has an additional 100 seater hall, five offices, a children’s church and a car park that accommodates up to 60 cars.

Elder Akande, who performed the official tape-cutting ceremony, also sanctified the building in the presence of the ecstatic members of the Church.

On the sideline of the event which marks the 4th founder’s anniversary of the church, was the official ordination and installation of the Leader-in-Charge, Special Mother in Israel/Prophetess Shola Babatimehin-Olanrewaju.

Typical of what obtains in CSMC worldwide, the ordination session which commenced midway into the anniversary service featured the handing over of a bell, a bible, and a hymn book to the ordained Leader-in-Charge. She later swore an oath after which she was offered her designated seat. A round of prayers led by the church elders soon rounded off the session which was supervised by the District chairman.

Describing the event as historic, elder Akande said it was his first time of presiding over a church dedication, anniversary and ordination all in one day since his 45-year stay in the United States.

After relocating to the US in 2016, Prophetess Babatimehin, founder of a thriving Mountain Prayer Fellowship Ministry in Abuja(Ori Oke Kosehunti/Mountain of Possibilities) attended a C&S Unification Church in Indianapolis.

She later started House of Possibilities in her apartment living room in December 2016 with Special Apostle Akin Adaramola, Most Senior Apostle Ebenezer Olanrewaju and Brother Adesuji Adaramola.
This followed approval by the leadership of Chicago District led by Elder Akande, who later visited the church in June 2017, to formally proclaim it as a District branch.

Speaking after her ordination, Prophetess Babatimehin was full of praises to God and members of the fold whom she said have shown commitment to the growth of the church over the past four years.

According to her, she was, at first, reluctant to continue her ministry upon getting to the US. “When I got to the here, my sister was the one that accommodated me in Indianapolis, else I wouldn’t have been here. She also told me to continue my ministry here but I refused because I was busy looking forward to getting a paper to settle down. I was also scared of how to start a church without knowing anybody. After four months, I finally agreed and that was when someone eventually gave me what I was looking for,” she said

While appreciating her sister for not giving up on her, the female cleric said, “She was the one who always encouraged me and asked me not to lose hope.”

She also appreciated the district elders, most of whom started with her at the early stage, for their physical and spiritual support.

Among the founding members present at the event are the families of Ogunbadejo, Oluwatodimu, and Lawal.
