C&S Church Urged To Flush Out Fake Prophets

A Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mr. Olurotimi Durojaiye says the Cherubim and Seraphim church should start taking action against prophets who are giving the church a bad name.

He made the call on Thursday during a day seminar organised by the Council of Prophet and Prophetess of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria, Egba Local Division, held at The Beloved Of Christ C&S Church, Oke Irorun Headquarters, Abeokuta, Ogun state.

The DSP who was invited to speak on the topic “Eradicating Crime From The Prophetic Ministry”, urged the spiritual band to be proactive by reporting any member that engages in activities that defy the law to security operatives. He said failure to do so would soil the image of the church by the time such an individual is found culpable and apprehended by the police.

He also advised members of the Council not to be ignorant of the position of the law, adding that the police have had to deal with numerous cases of prophets whose actions put them on the other side of the law.

The police chief who is also a Seraph and a member of Mount Bashan C&S Church said he was ready to collaborate with the spiritual band to ensure that any prophet who disguises as a member of the church with a condemnable act is dealt with appropriately.

“When I heard that there was a task force in the C&S church, I was so happy. And I have told them that anytime they need my assistance, I will stand. When I was in Egba, I go anywhere they ask me to follow them. We must do everything possible to restore the values St. Moses Orimolade committed into our hands,” he said.

Durojaiye, however, urged those who genuinely carry out their spiritual duties to be cautious in their approach to avoid running into trouble. He also commended the body for convening the meeting, saying it would further enhance the capacity of its members as spiritual gatekeepers of the church.

Part of the resolutions made by the Division Council of Prophets led by Prophet Dr. Ololade Abisadura, during the seminar was to bring sanity to the prophetic arm of the church.

On his part, Evangelist Michael Adeoye called on members in the prophetic ministry to live a life worthy of emulation, and not such that subjects them to public ridicule.

Adeoye who is the producer of the popular radio programme, “Ohun Awon Kerubu on Fm” also advised young prophets to give education a chance and ensure they have a sustainable means of livelihood.

The planning committee of the seminar was chaired by Prophet Samson Diyaolu with Prophet Ebenezer Owunmi as the Secretary.
