Baba Abidoye Cautions Politicians Against Do-Or-Die Affair

Politicians in the country have been cautioned against a win-at-all-costs syndrome which has enveloped the political scene of the country in recent times.

The appeal was made by the Spiritual Head and Chairman of Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide Ayo ni o, Baba Aladura Prophet Samuel Abidoye, while speaking with newsmen at the International Headquarters of the Church, Gallilee land, Orile Igbon on Friday.

He called on politicians to play politics of maturity and stop politics of assassination and kidnapping of other aspirants.

This may not be unconnected with the recent killings and kidnapping as some political parties held their party primaries to pick their flagbearers for the 2023 general elections.

The clergyman enjoined politicians to prioritize the development of their various communities and immediate constituencies, as well as the entire country above their ambitions.

“The well-being of the masses, how the nation’s economy will grow and the citizens will be able to live happily should be your uttermost goal rather than go after your perceived political opponent because you want power,” Abidoye stated.

He urged politicians to accept defeat and cooperate with whoever becomes the winner to move the country forward rather than engaging in politics of calumny.

Abidoye, however, appealed to the electorates to go all out and get their Permanent Voters Card, to be able to vote for their preferred candidate during the forthcoming elections.

“Please participate in all the political process for you to vote for the candidate of your choice without any compromise or sentiment,” he added.
