Mother Dedicates Newborn Baby As Church Warden

Little IYE David Oyetunde was a cynosure of all eyes on Sunday, August 14, as he became the youngest church warden of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Chapel of Revelation.

Dressed in the band’s uniform, and wrapped in a shawl, IYE’s story was indeed a miracle, hence his dedication during the 2nd anniversary of band.

His mother, Esther, could not contain her joy as she gave it all in thanksgiving to God.

According to her, the birth of IYE made her a proud mother, after losing three babies within a space of three years.

In a near perfect mix of joy and emotions, she recounted her ordeals and triumphs while giving her testimony in the midst of the congregation.

She said, “I return all glory to God for turning my sorrow to joy. I thank Him because He did what I wanted for me. I have been a subject of mockery because of my situation. They even said I have started going to a C & S church, but God has finally changed my story from someone who struggled to have a child to a proud mother.”

She also expressed gratitude to God for making her path crossed with Prophetess Opeyemi Bello, whom she claimed stood by her during her trying period.

She said, “When I came here I made a vow before God to make me deliver my baby safely. After then, I stopped coming to church, but she didn’t stop standing in gap for me.”

In an unusual twist, IYE was dedicated by the male members of the church wardens, alongside some elders in the church.

Prophetess Bello, however, disclosed that the pattern of his dedication during the anniversary was based on an instruction from God.

“We give glory to God for IYE’s safe delivery. Although, her mother was fearful thinking she would the lose the baby again, but the Lord manifested Himself. Due to the circumstances surrounding his birth, God gave him the name IYE. The Holy Spirit also revealed that he should be dedicated during the anniversary of the Church Wardens, by the members of the band, and as a member of the band.”
