“I SAT FOR O’LEVELS 8 [EIGHT] TIMES AND JAMB 5 [FIVE] TIMES BUT I BAGGED A FIRST CLASS OUT OF THE NIGERIAN LAW SCHOOL

I have longed to share the story of my journeys to the Nigerian Bar and the day is yet upon us now. I am a living evidence that dreams indeed still comes through. I believe it shall be a motivation to many to keep lashing on God’s promises until it becomes flesh.

So I was just an average mediocre student in my Secondary School level until I met Jesus in 2008. Then my appetite for Excellence began to heighten, I picked up on a scholar-mentor in one of the senior classes who helped me a great deal in the academics. My mentor wanted to be a journalist and as an unexperienced follower I concluded that my best bet was to also become a Journalist.

As I walked on in the faith, I found that there was something we call “Purpose” and I began to seek mine out in GOD. Then, in 2009…Jesus revealed to me in a vision of the night; I saw myself in a Lawyer’s apparel with my white garment underneath [other details withheld].

In the light of same, we began the journey I sat for 8 O’LEVELS examinations and for each time, I kept failing just one subject: LITERATURE-IN-ENGLISH😃. In between that hustle, I sat for the Jamb Examinations five different times…passed 3, failed two.

In the midst of this stern frustration, I gained many admissions though, amongst which was: Mass Communication in Kwasu, Public Administration in KwaraPoly, Primary Education Studies in Unilorin and Agricultural Economics in OOU. I eventually settled to go for the Agricultural Economics option in OOU because by this time, almost all my mates, age-group in church and childhood neighbors were either graduates or rounding up their degrees.

I however could not cope, I failed woefully when I saw my first year result in OOU. I had to heartily beg my parents to allow me quit and they obliged.

I went back to the drawing board and in the visions…Jesus spoke again and gave LIGHT that made me quit the struggle with failure FOREVER, to wit: SELFLESS SERVICE TO THE KINGDOM in Matt. 6:33 I then settled to go take a Diploma in Law graduating with a 4.3/5.0 CGPA. Afterwards, Jesus miraculously opened the door of a Law degree admission to the University of Ilorin and brought us Excellence in ALL areas without struggles, just serving my way through it.

Proceeding to the Kano Campus of the Nigeria Law School again, I kept through the Matt. 6:33 Order and then Jesus delivered to me a FIRST CLASS Grade, a feat achieved by only 2% of about 6,000 students. Meanwhile, to make a First Class Grade in the Law School you MUST make an “A” in all the Courses. We SIMPLY just served the interest of God’s Kingdom and it came.

Today, the 7th day of December, 2022 we stand in reality of that over 13years promise that we saw in a vision of the night. I am now a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; the largest Bar in Africa. I’m not excited about the achievement of being a Lawyer, I’m excited that the promises of Jesus came to past as I served Him.

Morale lessons:

  1. If Jesus has promised you anything, insist on the fulfilment of the visions. The reality of prophecies are in our hands…the Word of the Lord is forever settled in heaven.
  2. GOD is a rewarder, if you serve Him…he will pay you. The Matt. 6:33 Principle works like fire 🔥”.
