Efforts aimed at empowering youths in the Cherubim and Seraphim church may have just received a boost, as a new initiative tailored towards building their capacity is set to be launched.
The initiative, namely Seraph Cares was unveiled at a press briefing held in Lagos on Friday.
While addressing the media, the visioneer, Seraph Olaitan Oloruntoyin, disclosed that Seraph Cares is a foundation born out of the need to build a church where the youths are skillfully empowered in a way that will help them to positively influence the society.
Oloruntoyin, who was flanked by a few team members, specifically noted that the basic aim of the foundation is to have an academy for free media trainings. This, according to him, would afford participants the opportunity to learn skills like Photography, Lightening, Cinematography, Camera handling, Graphics and many more.
While he recalled how the foundation being a mandate given to him by God provides people in the fold with material clothing to sew garment, over the years, he stressed that the new development is a renewed effort targeted at scaling down the rate of unemployment amongst Seraph youths.
The official launching of the foundation will hold on the 29th of December, as it seeks to commence operations January 2021.
“For now, our academy is quite small and can only cater for 30 students. We intend to start with 30 students for different workshop trainings for a space of three months. After the first three month, they will be released by the foundation to explore the media world while we take in new set. In a year, we will graduate four set of professionals”, Oloruntoyin added.

Press Conference: Speech of Mr. Olaitan Oloruntoyin, visioneer and founder of Seraph Cares Foundation.
Good morning everyone and thanks to all media houses that joined today in projecting this institution to the world.
Firstly, I thank God for sparing our lives to see the last month in the year 2020. Despite the terrible occurrences that happened this year, the Lord has been faithful. The scripture says except the Lord watch the city, the watchmen stand watch in vain. May his name be praised forever and ever, Amen.
Seraph Cares Foundation is a mandate that was given to me by God to always give people in the fold with material clothing to sew garment. Over the years, this has been my custom supplying material clothing for people within my capacity. However, the core duty that was given to me grew beyond provision of material clothing when I noticed the number of Seraph youths that are either unemployed or not gainfully employed.
My worry grew bigger when I discovered that things might not change for the better anytime soon – so I thought of helping in my own little way.
The mandate given to me by God to always supply material clothing for people in the fold and my desire to help seraph youths within my capacity to become a skilled professional neccessitated the birth of the foundation named, Seraph Cares. Meanwhile, I must commend numerous foundations in the fold who have been extending hands of help to several people in the fold. I salute the generosity of NGOs like Remi Awode Foundation (RAF), C&S Ambassadors Foundation, Esther Àjàyí Foundation, Sholoye’s Foundation and a host of others not mentioned. I pray that God will continually increase your capacity to do more.
The core duty of our foundation Seraph Cares has been explained in the Vision and Mission statement of the organisation.
Vision Statement
To build a nation and church where seraph youths are skillfully empowered in a way that will help them to positively influence the society and build a church where material poverty is completely eradicated.
Mission Statement
To facilitate the reduction of unemployed youths in the fold through profitable workshop training and to provide material support to the needy in the church.
The foundation will strive to build a church where the youths are skillfully empowered in a way that will help them to positively influence the society. For years we have always asked what the country can do for us, now is the time to ask what we can do for ourselves that will in turn be beneficial to the country.
Without a doubt, the popular ‘aso adura’ is one of our heritages as Seraphs, we will be going around C&S churches to distribute material clothing for sewing the aso adura.
What We Will Do
The foundation aims to have an academy for free media trainings. This affords participants the opportunity to learn skills like Photography, Lightening, Cinematography, Camera handling, Graphics and many more.
We believe when we build the youth with the right skilla to face the future, we have successfully built a nation.
How We Intend To Do It
For now, our academy is quite small and can only cater for 30 students. We intend to start with 30 students for different workshop trainings for a space of three months. After the first three month, they will be released by the foundation to explore the media world while we take in new set. In a year, we will graduate four set of professionals.
When Do We Start
After the official launching of the foundation on the 29th of December, the foundation will commence work in January. Our plan for our academy is to graduate 3 sets in a year, so plans have been made to commence workshop training next month.
Free Or Cost Effective
Since the core duty of the foundation is to offer workshop trainings, this begs the question: will the trainings be free or now?
The training is free because it is our own little way of positively giving back to the society. However, a token of amount will guarantee commitment from participants. So, the registration form will attract only a token to guarantee commitments.
How will The Public Know When We Start
This opportunity is not for a specific people alone, it will be made open to everyone, although we have a minimal carrying capacity for now. However, participants will be selected based on merit.
The publicity of the program is where we solicit the partnership of all media platforms in the fold. Although, it will be publicized on our official media platforms, however, we still need the help of other media houses in the Cherubim and Seraphim fold to intensify the publicity. To this end, we beg that you yield us when we call on you.
Is The Program Restricted To a Particular State Alone
Participants for the workshop training will be restricted to Lagos alone for now due to logistics reasons. However, provision of clothing material for ‘Aso Adura’ is not restricted to any city or state.
What We Need
We need support and sponsorship from everyone. Our vision is quite an enormous one, however, with help from God and people we can achieve it. We are open to any form of partnership with any foundation within the fold fighting towards the same course.
Conclusively, we appreciate all the media houses that are present here today both contemporary media houses and all Seraph Media. Thanks for honouring our invitation even while it came with a short notice.
