C&S Member Tops Nigerian Law School, Gets Ex-Senate President Saraki’s N2m Reward

A member of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Israel Adekunle Adeniyi, has emerged as the Best Overall Male Graduating Student of the Nigerian Law School and has been called to the Nigerian Bar.

The Seraph also earned a N2m reward from former Senate President Bukola Saraki.

Adeniyi, an indigene of Ile Eso Pataki Compound in Offa, Kwara State, received the cash reward through the Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation in recognition of his outstanding academic performance.

The legal scholar was on Friday formally called to the Nigerian Bar at the Body of Benchers Complex in Abuja, marking the commencement of his legal career.

A devoted member of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, No. 6, Oke Iye, Offa, Adeniyi has consistently distinguished himself academically.

He first emerged as the best graduating student of Offa Grammar School before proceeding to the University of Ilorin, where he graduated as the overall best student in the Faculty of Law. He also recorded the highest cumulative grade point average by a law graduate of the institution during his set.

The new lawyer was said to have lost his father in May 2026 while undergoing the rigorous training at the Nigerian Law School. He, however, remained focused on his studies and eventually emerged as the Best Overall Male Graduating Student, drawing commendation from members of the legal profession, education stakeholders, and the Offa community.

His latest feat has been widely celebrated as a source of pride for Kwara State and Nigeria.

PUNCH Newspaper had earlier reported that Saraki honoured Adeniyi with the N2m cash prize during a special dinner organised in his honour.
