Prophetess Janet Akekaka To Be Buried Friday

Senior Apostolic Mother Prophetess Janet Adeoti Akekaka, founder of Cherubim and Seraphim Ogo Oluwa 1 (Glory of God Church) and wife of the late renowned Cherubim and Seraphim cleric, Prophet Joseph Olaogun Akekaka, will be buried on Friday, July 17.

According to the burial arrangements, a two-day service of songs will hold today, Tuesday, and Wednesday, July 15, from 4 p.m. daily, while a Christian wake-keep is scheduled for Thursday, July 16, at 5 p.m.

The funeral service will take place on Friday, July 17, at 10 a.m., after which guests will be entertained at a reception at the same venue.

All the funeral activities will hold at her residence and church premises located at 28 Elerun Town, Esepe Road, Ile-Epo Araromi Bus Stop, along the Badagry Expressway, Lagos State.

Mama Akekaka died on July 6 at the age of 101. Her death was announced by the executives of Ogo Oluwa C&S Surulere District, who described her passing as a transition to eternal rest.

Born on September 6, 1925, into the Maradesa family of Irawo in Atisbo Local Government Area of Oyo State, Akekaka devoted decades of her life to Christian ministry and founded Cherubim and Seraphim Ogo Oluwa 1 (Glory of God Church).

She was the wife of the late Prophet Joseph Olaogun Akekaka, one of the notable clerics in the Cherubim and Seraphim Church.

Her church was also the first branch of C&S Ogo Oluwa founded by the late Prophet Joseph Ijaola Ogunyooye.
